Kayvon Thibodeaux looks like he’s pulling a page out of head coach and part-time magician Brian Daboll’s book of tricks.
Thibodeau arrived at U.S. Bank Stadium with a top hat and chain on Sunday ahead of the wildcard matchup between the New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings. The rookie outside his linebacker also wore a fur coat.
He shared the post on his Instagram story along with a childhood photo of him wearing a similar top hat.
It’s not uncommon for NFL stadiums to double as runways, but Thibodeau certainly continues that tradition with his first playoff appearance.
Thibodeau hopes the chain will bring him and the Giants the same luck as fellow rookie Travon Walker. The Jaguars linebacker arrived at yesterday’s game wearing his initials TW pennant.
Walker assisted two tackles and recorded half of the sacks against the Chargers. More importantly, his team completed one of his greatest comebacks in playoff history, overcoming a 27-point deficit to advance to his round of division.
The Chargers’ playoff run was on fire, but they got their share of the fashion-forward moment thanks to defensive end Morgan Fox.
Fox arrived in Jacksonville wearing a coat with a picture of his team on the lining.
