Alec Baldwin has been charged with manslaughter after Halina Hutchins, the director of photography on the low-budget film Rust, was shot dead on set. The armorer will also bear the burden. She also served as a prop person. Baldwin got his start playing Billy in “The Doctors.” Baldwin claims he didn’t actually shoot the gun. Sadly, he’s been tight-lipped for the past two years, claiming to have inside information from the New Mexico District Attorney’s Office. Perhaps he shouldn’t have said it. Baldwin has never been known for his discretion. There was a time when he left a message on her daughter’s answering machine, calling her a “thoughtless piglet.” Hopefully Baldwin’s lawyers will tell him to keep quiet unless he takes the witness stand. Baldwin could have been put on probation or face up to five years in prison.
I love everything about Pluto. I have a Mickey Mouse dog. My favorite ex-planet. The idea was spearheaded by world-famous astronomer Neil deGrasse Tyson. “Neil, what the hell are you talking about? Can’t you keep looking at the stars?” Neil sat with a number of stars until some women accused him of inappropriate behavior. But most of all, I love Pluto TV, a free streaming service.
Another death in the daytime TV community — Quinn Redeker, 87, died Dec. 20. I have great memories of being an actor. It was the Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony. Quinn had peeled off his $10 bill and handed it to a stranger. He winked and said, “Maybe a good deed will help me.” I won the love category. Quinn was involved with Deidre Hall (Marlena in “Days of Our Lives”).
