Based on the book by Louise Fitzhugh, “Harriet the Spy” tells the story of the child of a wealthy socialite and a spy who observes his friends and neighbors and writes about them in his notebook. Her friends and classmates are displeased when Harriet the Spy’s notebook is discovered and her candid and spiteful observations are exposed.
The drama is rated G. It’s a youth program.

Ira Glass is the host and creator of the popular public radio show This American Life, which has been heard by over 5 million listeners each week on public radio stations and podcasts since its inception in 1995. Under the editorial supervision of Glass, This American Life has won seven Peabody Awards and the first-ever Pulitzer Prize for his audio journalism.

South Bend Lyric Opera: The Gift

The South Bend Lyric Opera will be performed for the second time in the 2022-2023 season. ‘The Gift’ is a new contemporary opera performed in English by the poised Paul Herman, a modern retelling of O. Henry’s ‘Gift of the Magi’. It tells the story of his two young lovers who struggle with an uncertain future. Their constant devotion to each other inevitably wins their father’s approval, reminding them of the importance of unconditional love and the warmth of their common bond.
The lead role is played by Bradyn Debyssin (“The Boy”), with double casting of the “Girl”, played by Hamen and Viktoria Schönauer. Eleni Tarzek and Emily Sullivan double-cast as the supporting role “mother” and Shane Piles as the “father”. The performers will be accompanied by the local orchestra Ensemble Concept/21, conducted by Juan Carlos Alarcón.

The American Theater Guild presents Fiddler on the Roof as part of the Broadway in South Bend series. The performance is on February 3rd at 8pm. February 4th at 2pm and 8pm. February 5th at 2pm.
A beloved theatrical classic by Tony Award-winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize-winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, this production is directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Shah and produced by acclaimed Israeli choreographer Hoffesh Scheckter. I am in charge of the choreography.

Murder on the Orient Express

Agatha Christie’s famous novel comes to life in Ken Ludwig’s drama Murder on the Orient Express. Shortly after midnight, a snowdrift stops the Orient Express. In the morning, the luxury train has one less passenger. The compartment door was locked from the inside, and the American tycoon was stabbed to death. Passengers trapped on the train with the killer rely on detective Hercule Poirot to identify the killer.
