YouTube is rarely down, but this afternoon (PT) YouTube Music faced a partial but widespread outage across its Android, iOS, and web apps.
on YouTube Music[Explore]tab and[Library]The tabs appeared empty this afternoon (around 1:30 PM PT) with a slightly better fairing for the home feed (but not the carousel-less web). I can stream the tracks I see, but the song and artist information is missing.
The album and artist pages wouldn’t load and I got a “Server problem. [429]error message. Search works to some extent.
The YouTube team has since confirmed this issue, but it’s not just a home issue.
When I switch to the download page, I can listen to the offline content without any issues.
Currently, YouTube (and listening to music on it) and YouTube TV are fine.
