Yami Gautam recalls being asked for a “small role” in Hrithik-starrer Kaabil.bollywood

Actor Yami Gautam says in a new interview that people have called him out for playing “cameos and small parts” in movies. , she shared how journalists praised her years later, even though she had previously written another piece for her. She compared Bollywood to Hollywood in this respect and said that people tend to do such things in India in a big way. Yami Gautam rose to fame after appearing in several advertisements and commercials. She started her acting career with the show Chand Ke Paar Chalo. In 2012, she made her Bollywood debut in Vicky Donner opposite Ayushman Khurana. She starred in films such as Badlapur, Uri: The Surgical Strike and Kaabil.

In Kaabil, Yami starred as Hrithik Roshan’s wife. Although she had limited roles, she played an important role in Sanjay Gupta films. Yami said in her Galatta Plus interview: Kaabil, I think it’s another movie that I’m very happy about. I gotta be a part of that movie. But some thought the audience liked it. And now when journalists interact with me, they’re like, ‘You were so good in that movie.’ But I say, ‘No, but that’s not what you wrote back then.’

“I think it’s one of the few times when you should look west. They don’t care. They just come in and do something great and leave. Yaha pe we take it very seriously,” she added. The actor also claimed that film opportunities like Uri and Bara, directed by her husband Aditya Dahl, will remain important to her during her journey.
