If you’re looking for sweaty, tinnitus-filled clubs and theaters on the North Fork where bass drums pulsate through rattling beer-soaked floors, you might be out of luck.
But there are plenty of venues that exert their own indescribable potency through intimate performances by fan-favorite Long Island musicians.
Here are seven of the best places to catch live music in the North Fork this winter.
Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, Peconic
Greenport Harbor has bookings for up-and-coming artists of all genres and local favorites every weekend during the winter months.
“They run the gamut from folk to the Grateful Dead to hard rock, soft music and country,” said co-owner Betsy Lezy. “We try to do a lot of variety, but it’s a warm and cozy place in the winter.
“We’re on fire and there’s plenty of seating for people. If you want to dance, get up and dance, there’s room for it. You can stand at the bar or you can sit at the table.”
Several performances on tap, all starting at 3pm.

Reeve Sellers, Catchogue
Every Friday night throughout the winter, Lieb Cellars invites artists from the North Fork and beyond to present cozy, candlelit musical performances.
“We have a lot of local musicians like Julia King and Rob Europe,” said marketing manager Alice Falcone. “And then there are the not-so-local favorites like Jeff LeBlanc and Paris Ray.”
On these Friday nights, Lieb Cellars also offers a $15 raclette special. It boasts melted Alpine-style cheese with baguette and fig jam.

Twin Fork Beer Company, river head
On Saturdays and Sundays, you can sip beer at Twin Folk Beer Company while listening to cover bands like The Frayed Knot and original singer-songwriters like Alison Faith.
Co-owner Pete Chekijian says, “We’re doing solo stuff, we’re in bands of four or five. drink.”

Corey Creek Tap Room, Southold
Corey Creek offers East Enders the chance to catch acts like Barely Acoustics, singer-songwriter Bryan Gallo and Roadhouse Warrior’s Gene Casey in laid-back surroundings.
“It’s a quiet environment,” said event manager Delaney Matirol. “It’s a relaxed atmosphere where people can drink wine and listen to music.”

Peconic County Brewery, Riverhead
This winter, Peconic County Brewing will host Long Island performers on Saturdays from 2-6pm and every Sunday from 1:30-5pm.
Set up in the brewery’s tasting room, guests can soak up the energy of the performers while sipping beer, dining and socializing.

Bistro 72, Riverhead
Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Bistro 72 brings live music up close.
“It’s a very intimate space with little alcoves by the bar,” says Dave Deturris, director of food and beverage at Bistro 72. “They’re there mixed with the crowd and it’s very lively. It’s a great performance with a background music feel rather than a brooding atmosphere.”
The restaurant is usually open Thursdays from 6-9pm, Fridays from 5-8pm, and Saturdays from 6-9pm, with solo acts and small groups such as Kathy House and the East End Trio. is held.

“You’ll see acts ranging from solo acoustic performers to small bands,” said Nick Picataggio, one of Ciderhouse’s managers. “The crowd and performers are definitely eating each other and it’s awesome to see,” he continued. “I often see major groups singing in chorus and performing dances.”
