The filmmaker, during his correspondence with Masters’ Union’s Business of Bollywood, recounts a joyful incident when his father, the late filmmaker Yash Johar, asked him to sign some checks. Karan Johar, who admitted that he was “totally spoiled” and that his father took care of everything, said: There was a lot of love because I was used to signing autographs.I was cut off from finance.
The revelation came when Karan Johar was talking about how clueless he was about finances after his father’s death.Yash Johar died in 2004 after battling cancer. “On the fourth day after his father died, we had a prayer meeting and I was back in the office sitting alone thinking what to do with this company,” he said. Karan Johar also talked about the letter Yash Johar left for him. The filmmaker added that it was like a business letter to Mutual, with details about his fund, investments, and people he trusted KJo. Calling it a bible, KJo said, “It was a business letter, not an emotional letter. The letter actually said where the money was in regards to your mutual fund or investment. These are people you don’t trust. This is how you move your business forward. It kind of became my bible.
He said, “I had detailed information about bank accounts, where my money was, where my real estate investments were.At one point during our chat, KJo said, He had a deep commitment to the company and a lot of passion for pushing it forward.”
Karan Johar also recalled the advice Shah Rukh Khan gave him when he was nervous about producing. curl. he said: curlAt that time I thought maybe we shouldn’t make it. [one of the producers of the film] He called me and said, “It’s actually a smaller film, so you should make it.” Learn from your mistakes and make mistakes. ”
