On Monday, the trailer for Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming movie Mission Majnu was released, and Twitter seems to have mixed opinions about it. Directed by Shantanu Bagchi and starring Rashmika Mandanna. The film will be released on his Netflix on January 20th, and fans have expressed a desire to see it in theaters. Shortly after the trailer for the movie was released, one person took to Twitter to say, “#MissionMajnu will be like the male version of #raazi, which downplays radicalism and terrorism and turns it into a Bollywood ‘love story’.” I have written. Another person said, “Large gender reversed version with more masala. #MissionMajunu.
One tweeted, “Kya kisi aur ko #MissionMajnu se Raazi wali feel ayi (anyone got Raazi vibes in MissionMajnu?)” while another tweeted, “#MissionMajnu trailer is great. Raazi Grab the atmosphere of the world. That’s how it should be.” Released in theaters. Why on Netflix? Some others praised the chemistry between Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika.

In Mission Majnu, Sidharth plays Amandeep Singh, an agent in the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) who must go undercover to find secrets that will help India gain an edge over Pakistan. Rashmika appears as Sidharth’s wife, part of his cover story, and the film is based on real events in his 1970s, and the trailer brings us action-packed scenes.
Meanwhile, filmmaker Meghna Gulzar’s film Raazi is based on Harinder Singh Sikka’s book Calling Sehmat. The film revolves around a Kashmiri girl named Semat, played by Alia, who agrees to spy on India in Pakistan. In her quest she marries a Pakistan Army officer for her mission.
Mission Majnu was written by Sumit Batheja, Parveez Shaikh and Aseem Arrora. Besides Sidharth and Rashmika, it also stars Kumud Mishra and Shalib Hashmi. The film is Rashmika’s first collaboration with Sidharth and her second Hindi film for Rashmika. Published in 2020 and backed by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala and Garima Mehta.
