Twinkle Khanna often talks about parenting in social media posts and interviews. Twinkle, who recently made headlines for riding in a car with her daughter Nitara in Mumbai, also spoke about her approach to parenting. In an interview last year, Twinkle Khanna revealed that she pays for her children Nitara and Aarav’s education and never had a joint bank account with her husband Akshay.
When asked in a recent interview for Harper’s Bazaar India about the emphasis on raising her daughter right but not enough on raising her son the right way, Twinkle said, “I wrote a column on how to raise my son the right way, I just need to focus on raising my daughter. Asked further about the correct way to raise a child, Twinkle said that “leading by example” is the approach she proposes. When asked how she could be raised differently, Twinkle replied, “You’re asking these questions like I’m an expert. Start distributing advice.”
Twinkle made his acting debut in 1995 in Barsaat. After her 2001 film Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, she quit her acting career. In 2015, Twinkle made her writing debut in Mrs. Funny Bones. She followed that up with an anthology of stories titled The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, released in 2017, and a fictional novel, Pyjamas Are Forgiving, published the following year.
