CBD has become an essential ingredient for health due to its ability to fight inflammation.
I believe in the benefits of CBD myself, but do these celebrity-endorsed skincare products live up to the hype?
I usually use a CBD-infused body oil that also contains magnesium and helichrysum. I apply the product after my workout and before bed for a relaxing and calming effect.
In this post, I tried several topical CBD formulas, including Kristen Bell’s Whipped Body Butter, Travis Barker’s Face Moisturizer, Travis and Kourtney Kardashian’s Body Oil, and Martha Stewart’s Night Lotion.
First, I tried the $30 Whipped Body Butter from Kristen Bell’s brand Happy Dance.
The consistency of the product was great on my skin and absorbed well.
My skin felt moisturized all day long. This was a big plus for me during the cold months in New York City.
I enjoy the product itself, but it smells unpleasant. I will never repurchase the body butter.
Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has released a line of CBD-infused skincare.
I’ve tried a daily facial moisturizer and a CBD body oil. His wife Kourtney is his Kardashian collaboration.
A daily moisturizer promises to “calm, soothe and hydrate” the skin.
I found the moisturizer to be a little too “moisturizing” for my combination skin and felt a little greasy, but those with dry skin might appreciate this formula.
I also tried the Kourtney x Barker Wellness Body Oil, which sells for $40. My standards were high considering my go-to CBD topical is also a body oil.
The Kardashian inspired body oil completely exceeded my expectations, absorbing well into the skin and relaxing my muscles.
Martha Stewart’s Sleep Science
Martha Stewart has partnered with CBD industry leader Canopy Growth to create her own line of CBD Topicals.
I tried the $20 Sleep Science Cream and it delivered exactly what I needed.
The lotion is infused with essential oils of lavender, vetiver and patchouli to promote relaxation.
As soon as the scent hit my nose, I felt relaxed and felt that the product itself lived up to its promise of providing a more restful night’s sleep.
Studies show that CBD reduces inflammation in the body, which can lead to a variety of benefits, including anti-aging, skin condition relief, and even pain relief.
Many people utilize plant extracts as panacea and alternative medicine staples.
CBD products are usually THC-free, but some contain trace amounts of psychoactive compounds, which makes CBD products controversial for some.
I recommend CBD topical products to anyone suffering from muscle pain and looking for a less invasive pain reliever with minimal side effects.
