A celebration of the region’s diversity like no other of its kind, it features a rousing night of dancing and authentic Mumbai club music.
Members of the Tri-Cities South Asia community are planning even more events for 2023.
Following the success of the region’s first Diwali Gala in October, the same organizers will host a full-fledged Bollywood night just in time for Valentine’s Day (February 14th).
The ‘Bollywood Sundowner’ is scheduled for February 11th in Port Coquitlam and is a celebration of diversity in the community.
Organizers Sumit Rawla, Shubhi Rawla and Akshita Puri have even been flown by DJ Raytrix, known as the ‘Spin King’ of Mumbai clubs.
They said it would be the first of three more events this year, including the second Diwali Gala.
“The Tri-Cities Diwali Gala was a huge success. We are proud and excited to gather again for our beloved friends and residents of the Tri-Cities,” the trio said on the Bollywood Sundowner event page.
“You danced to a great beat at the gala night and didn’t want to leave the dance floor!”
A night of dance and film music is the new event in the Lower Mainland that unleashes the ‘Inner Rock Star of Bollywood’.
Interested patrons must be 19 years or older to attend the event, which takes place from 8pm to midnight at Bennett Craft and Kitchen, 2099 Lougheed Hwy.
Tickets are limited, and organizers say attendees are set to receive one free drink.
