GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (WBAY) – Tonight is New Year’s Eve. As strange as that may sound, the Mile of Music does just that. Because this is their New Year’s Eve celebration night.
The team has brought back three artists from their summer festival to play tonight.
One of them is the duo band “The Astronomers” from Fond du Lac. The two met at the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh. Other artists hail from Nashville and Pennsylvania, and all three are making waves on the streaming service.
Dave Williams of the Mile of Music Team described the event as follows: Discover new music from these artists who aren’t household names yet, but they should be. And they’re from all over the country and it’s the first time I’ve met them in person, the first time I’ve heard them talk. So tonight, I’d like to capture that vibe as something of an encore[at the Mile of Music Festival]. Bring back the three artists and have a good time…and celebrate the fact that the calendar turns into a new year. ”
Those who want to celebrate New Year’s Eve early should head to the Hilton in downtown Appleton tonight.1st set starts at 8pm
