If you’ve never heard of or seen a gossip bench, you’re seriously missing out on this iconic piece of furniture from the 1960s. It is a single sitting chair with a small desk built into the side where a corded telephone is placed.

The man saved a gossip bench from the Facebook marketplace that sat lamenting thousands of years of DIY makeovers. His previous DIY performers painted Gossip his bench a matte teal and stapled funky, colorfully patterned fabric to his seat on the bench.

The gossip bench savior ripped the fabric from the bench seat to reveal the original orange, red and yellow plaid fabric. He stripped all the paint off the bench, exposing the original wood. He then coated the wood with beeswax and placed it in its final resting place for display, completely restoring it to its former glory.
