jacksonville, florida – The music world remembers Lisa Presley. The singer and Elvis’ only daughter died at age 54, her mother Priscilla Presley announced Thursday night.
“It is with a heavy heart that I have to share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement Thursday night. She was the most passionate, strong, loving woman I’ve ever known.”
The announcement comes hours after Priscilla Presley confirmed that Lisa Marie Presley was taken to hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest on Thursday.
Lisa Marie Presley attended the Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday and just celebrated her father’s 88th birthday at Graceland.

Country artist Leanne Rimes issued the following statement: She hopes she rests in her dad’s arms. my heart goes out to her family. “
The Jackson family posted a photo of Presley and Michael Jackson on Instagram and said, “My condolences to her family and loved ones.”
The two were married in 1994 and divorced in 1996. John Travolta posted on her Facebook: I miss you, but I know we’ll meet again. My love and heart goes out to Riley, Priscilla, Harper and Finley. ”
