With 140 students and 10 teachers, the Warren School of Music has had a busy holiday season.
Nearly half of those students performed individually or as part of a group at the Conservatory’s two-day Christmas concerts.
“Saturday December 17th, I took over the Crossing stage.” Conservatory Music Director Joe Graner said: “From 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, there were performances by more than 30 students and several performance groups.”
“The Crossing was packed wall to wall and everyone had a great time.” Graner said.
Students of all ages demonstrated their musical talents.
“Some played your classic Christmas song.” He said. “Some people played advanced classical music, and others played random music that had nothing to do with the seasons.”
There was also “Some great original music performances by the students” Graner said.
The Warren County Youth Orchestra conducted by Chelsea Cowan performed at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church in Warren on Sunday, December 18th.
Gruner described the performance as “Jaw drop”.
“Chelci and WCYO have been really great.” He said. “WCYO is a free opportunity for young musicians in our area looking for performance opportunities.”
