The co-chairs and dress code for the 2023 Met Gala have been announced, and this year’s theme pays tribute to fashion mogul Karl Lagerfeld.
The Met Museum announced on its Instagram account that the 2023 Met Gala exhibition will be ‘Karl Lagerfeld: The Line of Beauty’. The caption reads, “The 2023 Met Gala celebrates the opening of ‘Karl Lagerfeld: The Line of Beauty’ and provides the Costume Institute with major annual funding for exhibitions, publications, acquisitions, operations and capital improvements. It provides a source.” This exhibition pays tribute to Lagerfeld and his prolific design contributions to the fashion industry. Includes nearly 150 looks from the designer’s astonishing career. The Met Museum also announced co-chairs for this year’s event, including Michaela Cowell, Penelope Cruz, Roger Federer, Dua Lipa and Anna Wintour.
The 2023 Met Gala dress theme is set to honor legendary Karl Lagerfeld. The German fashion designer headed many famous fashion houses such as Chanel, Fendi and Balmain. By honoring Lagerfeld’s legacy, attendees will get a wide selection of compelling and iconic ensembles.
