I haven’t seen it yet, but the Stanford University basketball team is currently on a four-game winning streak, and their most recent win is the best of them all.
Just last week, the Cardinals narrowly escaped against Chicago State on a three-game winning streak, but many of the team’s fans were concerned about the underachievement. They trailed by 12 men and lost at halftime.
Their next matchup came on Saturday night against arch-rivals Cal. Cal defeated the Cardinals by 22 when they last met without a top scorer. Things were different this time, allowing Stanford to half up on his 11 and go 19-7. Stanford, wearing his 1998 replica jersey to mark his 25th anniversary of his team’s 30-win Final Four, led by as much as 37 points.
Maxim Raynaud led with 15 points and Harrison Ingram added 14 points, one of which was considered the dunk of the year.

As a team, Stanford rallied defensively, with Cal shooting only 30% and making only five 3s from 16 in the previous game.
The Cardinals hope to extend their winning streak to five on Thursday when they face Utah (15-8), who won by five points in the first meeting.
