Each year, when the new semester begins, many Boston College students arrive on campus with their newly purchased clothing and accessories, ready to show off their latest outfits.
This year is no exception. The BC student tackled the chilly northeastern weather by incorporating elements of warmth and protection into his outfit combined with today’s online his trends to create the perfect combination of comfort and style. Beanies are a must-have item that has warmed many college students’ heads during snowy winters, but we’ve found that more and more students are replacing their beanies for protection that focuses solely on their ears. Fleece hats serve as a hair-safe alternative to fleece hats, which often provide warmth at the expense of static-induced frizz.
Similarly, many BC students have returned to campus with the latest version of Apple AirPods, returning to the original style of large headband headphones revered in the late 2000s and early 2010s. No matter where you go these days, it seems you can’t escape leather products, be they faux leather or genuine leather. From his classic lace-up Dr. Martens to his brown leather puffer his coat, leather permeates nearly every wardrobe, whether you realize it or not.

Flared pants have taken over the country as an alternative to the long-loved skinny jeans as the ’70s trend continues to gain momentum into 2023. Mom-and-boyfriend jeans are still alive and well in college fashion, but flared pants add a vintage twist. It’s the most basic costume and I’m here for it.
leg warmers & tights
With the resurgence of vintage wear, the leg warmer resurgence is in full swing in 2023. Once considered an embarrassing relic of her teenage years by her parents, legwarmers have made a comeback in modern fashion with refinements by teen and young adult creators.
