Music fans onboard Holland America Line will be proud of this news. The line has revamped some of its music products, moved them to different venues, and even eliminated some entirely on some ships.
First, the line’s partnership with the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts turns into something new. It transforms from a shipboard quartet with its own performance venue (Lincoln Center Stage) to a traveling ensemble. The group travels between all ships in the fleet and presents shows on the main theater, the World Stage, located on every ship.

“While the vision for the new program is still being developed, it will be rolled out on the world stage starting this summer, along with other Holland America Line touring troupes such as Step One Dance Company, Cantare and Island Magic,” said Michael. After the switchover, Holland America plans to repurpose its dedicated Lincoln Center Stage venue. A representative for Line said it’s still too early to announce details about what the space will be.

“Our Vista-class ships typically make the longest voyages, and the expanded repertoire at the Rolling Stone Lounge allows us to enjoy a greater variety of music, including R&B, rock and pop,” said Smith. says. “The Rolling Stone Lounge band plays his six nights a week, and the show changes nightly.”
Smith also said BB King’s will continue to be used on five of the line’s Signature and Pinnacle class ships (Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Konningsdam, Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam).
