Speaking about his path to acting, Debattama said in an earlier chat with Barak Bulletin: I still remember that when students came home from his father to learn his AutoCAD (a commercial computer-aided design and drafting software application), he would often ask me to join him. I’m here. I tried my hand at it and realized it wasn’t my cup of tea. I told him you were the family engineer and I would do something else .
When she was a child, she used to participate in local song and dance competitions. “I was a staunch rebel since childhood,” she recalls. “I would go crazy if I didn’t win the first prize. It gave me confidence,” she added.
After trying his luck with some Bengali shows, Debattama moved to Mumbai.
Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Shehzada also stars Kriti Sanon, Manisha Koirala and Ronit Roy. It is Allu Arjun’s remake of his 2020 blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramulo. The film hits theaters on his February 10th.
