Filmmaker Siddharth Anand says Pattern, starring Shah Rukh Khan, will feature a never-before-seen bike chase sequence and captivate audiences with its “visual spectacle.” According to Yash Raj’s film, Pathaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, became the first Hindi film to be shot on Siberia’s frozen Lake Baikal.
Siddharth Anand, best known for directing the 2019 blockbuster War, said Pattern’s team acted in the film “a step above what Indian audiences saw in theaters.” said he assured me.
“In fact, we shot only action sequences never before attempted in an Indian film. The pattern promised to give people the best visual spectacle, and it was a fast bike ride on Siberia’s stunning frozen Lake Baikal. We shot the chase sequence,” the filmmaker said in a statement.
In order to shoot the “risky sequence”, all equipment had to be transported from Moscow, some 2000 kilometers from where the team was filming.
“We shot the most visually stunning chase sequence on frozen ice and felt the chill. I hope it makes you jump out of your seat,” he added.
Pathaan is part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe and marks the return of Shah Rukh Khan four years after Zero. Superstar Salman Khan, who also guest-stars and reprise his role as a spy in his Tiger franchise, Pathaan, will hit theaters on his January 25th in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
After the pattern, Shah Rukh will be seen in Atley’s action thriller Jawang, set for release in June, and Rajkumar Hirani’s Danki, which is gearing up for a December 2023 opening.
