The Southern Allegheny Art Museum (SAMA) in the Ligonier Valley hosts the Winter Plein Air Paint Out in February.
From February 23-25, a dozen artists will visit the Ligonnier Valley, presenting a variety of winter landscapes from the local national forests, picturesque scenery and iconic attractions such as the beautiful Laurel Mountain Ski Resort. Draw.
After three days of painting, the museum will host the exhibition “Wet Sale” on Sunday, February 26 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm with refreshments.
The exhibition is free and open to the public, and a wet sale is also held where you can purchase freshly drawn works while talking with the artist.
If anyone is unable to attend the reception, SAMA will suspend viewing and purchase of the works until March 5th.
The Paint Out will feature a $500 prize fund sponsored by Ligonier Valley companies and the SAMA Ligonier Auxiliary.
