SS Rajamouli has clearly stated that RRR is not a Bollywood movie.
India Today Webdesk: SS Rajamouli has emerged as an international brand of RRR post-RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan. The filmmaker recently attended the Golden Globe Awards, where his blockbuster Naatu Naatu won in his Best Original Song category. Now, for some strange reason, it’s getting a lot of attention. During the screening, he kept RRR out of Bollywood while talking about how he used the song in his dream project.
SS RAJAMOULI calls RRR ‘not a Bollywood movie’
In a recent media exchange, SS Rajamouli stated that RRR is not a Bollywood movie and explained his logic behind using the song in a big shot. He said every song in his film drives the story forward. He revealed that the songs here do not break the story, as is often the case with Bollywood flicks.
“RRR is not a Bollywood movie, it’s a Telugu movie from South India where I’m from, but instead of stopping the movie and offering music and dance, I use songs to move the story forward. I just Use those elements to move the story forward,” added the director.
