A new restaurant and entertainment spot is coming to Fall River.
Attorney David Assad spoke on behalf of the co-owners of Origen Restaurant, Bar & Grill Elvis Verdezoto at the Fall River Licensing Commission meeting Wednesday to approve the new all-alcohol common victuor license and entertainment license. I asked for a license.
The Latin American restaurant will open downtown at 159 South Main Street, formerly SADO Asian Food Sushi & Bar.
Hours of operation are 11 AM-11 PM Sunday-Wednesday and 11 AM-2 AM Thursday-Saturday.
An opening date for the new venture has not been announced.
Entertainment consists of live music, DJs, or karaoke.
Asad said Berdezoto’s wife and another partner have extensive experience in the restaurant.
The restaurant has recently been renovated within the last 3 years with new fixtures, floors, walls and exterior, according to the previous rental of this property. There are 135 seats with built-in booths and movable tables and chairs. The bar also has a 24 tap system.
Verdezoto has been granted the requested license by the Board of Directors.
