The Pro-Am of Music concert series will conclude with an exciting final performance at the Northwest Maritime Center featuring the talented Port Townsend High School Chamber Ensemble.
Conducted by local maestro and music professor Matthew Darin, an ensemble of 15 student musicians will perform a wide range of classical works on violin, viola and cello. The group recently reformed after his year-long hiatus due to COVID-19.
The final concert is scheduled to start at
Thursday, February 2nd at 7pm at the North West Maritime Center on Water Street.

The Chamber Ensemble will perform Yasushi Akutagawa’s Triptych and Johannes Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No.
Daline will also play the viola on the program, “The View From Dead Horse Point,” a contemporary computer-accompanied piece composed by John Drumheller. This avant-garde piece for viola and computer includes several opportunities for Daline to improvise with a computer counterpart.
Daline recently returned to Port Townsend from Bowling Green, Ohio, where he worked as a string professor at Bowling Green University. He now plays professionally in the Pacific Northwest and is about to open a violin and viola music studio in town.
The Pro-Am of Music concert series will help fund the Port Townsend High Music Department’s planned trip to Los Angeles, California in Spring 2023. These events are sponsored by Port Townsend Music Boosters.
