On “Every Loser,” Pop played gorgeous musicians such as Chad Smith, Duff McKagan, Travis Barker, Stone Gossard, Josh Klinghoffer, Dave Navarro, Chris Chaney, Eric Avery and the late Taylor Hawkins. Surrounded by us, we are heaping up the set. of 11 tracks.

“New Atlantis” is his personal love letter to his adopted home of Miami. Pop sings, “Some say the world ends in fire/Some say the world ends in ice/I only see a few birds, fish and butterflies” as things slowly darken. I find comfort in his familiar surroundings as I watch him progress.
On “Modern Day Ripoff,” we find ourselves channeling Alice Cooper’s tone when Pop complains about how much things have changed since he started in business over 50 years ago. “Respectable people don’t curse so much/At least I’m still kicking,” says an excited Pop.
“Neo Punk” serves as the album’s signature track in which Pop reminisces about his career, accomplishments, and celebrity benefits. It’s been a rewarding journey, and Pop knows he’s done well for himself when he reveals he doesn’t have to sing because he has a publication.
The primal demeanor of the new material can best be summed up when Pop announces, “I’m not a flimsy, lost-town straw boy/I’m a terror.”
He’s certainly the same musical dread that has the uncompromising swagger that first wowed the world as a member of the Stooges.
It’s perfectly clear that Pop isn’t going to relinquish the punk throne anytime soon.
