British Plimsoll Productions has appointed format and distribution veteran Andrea Jackson as Creative Director of Factual Entertainment.
This established her Plimsoll lead in developing, packaging and executive producing format and factual entertainment content.
In her new role, Jackson will report to Plimsoll CEO Grant Mansfield and join the company’s executive leadership group, which is owned by ITV Studios.
Plimsol acquired Jackson’s unscripted distribution business Magnify Media in 2020, five years after she founded the company.
Magnify continued to operate independently after the sale, but now plans to “fully integrate” into ITV Studios’ distribution business.Major titles for distributors include Fox’s Marika: The Lion QueenBBC Ones My Unique B & B and ABC’s 9/11 women.
Jackson’s previous roles include eight years as managing director of DRG, whose catalog was sold to MTG before being sold to All3Media. She is also the co-founder of her Zeal Entertainment.
Grant Mansfield, CEO of Plimsoll Productions, said: “We want to rely on her solid format and distribution experience, especially her deep relationships in the UK and US markets, and her unmatched knowledge of the global market.”
