“Our Ranger family runs deep,” Walter Emmanuel Jones tells EW about playing Zack in The Black Ranger 30 years later.

For Yost, the longest-running original Ranger who left the series in 1996 after four seasons and over 200 episodes, the special is a reunion with all the returning cast. is particularly special, he says. “We went through the audition process together and launched the Power Rangers franchise,” Yost explains of his co-stars. The special features Barbara Goodson (voice of Rita Repulsa), Richard Horvitz (voice of Alpha 5), and new addition Charlie Kirsch as Min, daughter of the original Yellow Ranger Trini. (Trini was played by Tuitlan, who died in a car accident in 2001 at the age of 27. Whether other original cast members will join or the special will pay tribute to original Green Ranger Tommy actor Jason David Frank. It is unknown whether he will do so.In 2022, he committed suicide at the age of 49.)

And for fans eager for a new era of the Power Rangers franchise (reinvented or morphed more than 20 times), EW can reveal some new details. Power Rangers: Cosmic Furyis set to come to Netflix this fall.
Power Rangers’ 30th season will also be the first time the entire Ranger team will be back for a third season since the franchise began in 1993. As the Hasbro/eOne team says, “Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury continue the adventure of Power Rangers: Dino Furythe team embarks on a space journey to unleash new cosmic powers and defend it from the infamous returning villain Lord Zedd.
Cosmic Fury We also see Dino Fury Pink Ranger Amelia (Hunter Dino) swap her suit for a Cosmic Fury Red Ranger suit and evolve into the first full-time female Red Ranger in franchise history. In fact, every Ranger has a new costume designed by Sarah Voon and new morphers and weapons designed by Tracey Collins.
