Why is name recognition attractive to voters?

When it comes to politics, not much surprises me anymore. I’m starting to get fed up with shameless lies and self-preservation and division. But one thing that still bothers me is the quality of the candidates they hire to serve as elected representatives in government.
We dodged a giant bullet with U.S. Senator Herschel Walker, a man with severe mental health issues, a tendency to lie, and a domestic abuser, who admitted:i’m not that smart”
But he barely lost the raceHow did he appeal to so many people when he was completely unqualified for the position he was applying for? Or did you vote against Raphael Warnock? Did they simply vote for Herschel because of the deep divide in this country where Republicans hate Democrats and vice versa?
Republicans continue to endorse a terrible candidate, and their base continues to embrace it. Not all of their first picks are terrible people. So how can we keep people like George Santos in parliament donald trump at the White House?
Donald Trump stepped down the escalator in 2015, announcing his entry into the Republican presidential primary, and immediately started saying horrible things like:rapist’ But he lied, made terrible statements, and achieved an enormous amount of political success. He was elected president in 2016.
Are people like Rep. George Santos trying to emulate Trump’s success by copying his strategy? misunderstanding, Never admit defeat, never apologize for mistakesand saying quirky things in general?
Will Republican voters continue to pick people they don’t like just because they’re famous or worship Donald Trump? There may be.
If you were an 80’s/90’s kid like me, you probably remember the show “Boy Meets World.”One and only Ben SavageThe man who played Corey on the show has filed papers to run as a Republican for Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff’s seat in CA-30.

is rumored to be Congressman Adam Schiff Senator Diane Feinstein may be considering running for a seat, but Feinstein has made no announcement as to whether she will run again. I sincerely hope that you will pass the
Congressman Katie Porter She has already announced that she will run for Feinstein’s Senate seat in 2024.
Savage recently ran for a seat on the West Hollywood City Council and lost.According to him websitewhere he focused on community safety, housing and homelessness.
he ran police advocacy platform In highly democratic areas where such an agenda may not be very popular.Former Los Angeles mayoral candidate didn’t work for businessmen Rick Caruso.
Savage’s political experience is minimal.he studied political science Worked at Stanford University in 2003 as an intern for former US Senator Arlen Spector (R-PA).
when asked at 2014 Rolling Stone interview If he had considered pursuing a career in politics, he would have replied: I don’t know… it has to be a very specific breed to do that. ”
It will be interesting to see what Savage prioritizes when running for Congress. Will he follow his fellow Republicans and pledge allegiance to Trump? Will he become another election naysayer or conspiracy theorist like some of the new Republicans in Congress? A common-sense conservative who puts his country before his party?
Will people vote for him purely on the basis of name recognition? Will voters demand someone with more political experience, or will it be an outsider celebrity who is attractive to Republican voters?
I am looking forward to the program.
