These are villains who are still remembered today for the iconic roles they played on screen and who have earned praise for their deft transitions to the positive from time to time.
However, not all actors who have played villains on screen have been as lucky as the legend above.

1. Rami Lady
Bollywood villain Rami Reddy had a unique dialogue style that many loved. His menacing persona was a perfect fit for his 90s villain in Hindi cinema.
His most popular roles include Wakt Hamara High (1993), from Spot Nana platy band (1990) & from Kala Shetty Gunda (1998).
Rami Reddy died on April 14, 2011 at the age of 52 in a hospital in Secunderabad after suffering from liver and kidney disease.
2. Jack Gord
Jack Gord had many small roles in films before his breakout role as Amitabh Bachchan’s Dak Jaga Too Fun. But he is best remembered for playing Shamsher Singh in the Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan starrers Karan Arjun.
Jack had a heart attack in 2000 at the age of 42. His last film appearance was in 2001 starring Shah Rukh Khan. One 2 Ka 4.
3. Deepak Silke
Deepak Sirke made his Bollywood debut with Amitabh Bachchan’s star Agnepas (1990) and later appeared in films such as ham (1991), Cuda Gower (1993) & ansu (1994) among others.
However, his most popular role remains that of Gendaswami, the main antagonist in the 1993 blockbuster. Tyranger Starring Raj Kumar and Nana Pathekar.
He was last seen in a Hindi film, P Se PM Tak (2015) & Marathi Hits ventilator (2016).
4. Gavin Packard
Gavin Packard, an Indian actor of Irish-American descent, has played villainous roles in films such as: Sadak, Mora, Chamatkar, Wakt Hamara Hai Last seen in 2002 in films like Jani Dashman, Kranti & ye hi jalwa.
Gavin has also helped train actors such as Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty.
In 2012, he passed away at the age of 47 due to respiratory disease.
5. Arun Bakshi
Actor and playback singer Arun Bakshi Gopi Kishen, Balwaan, Salaam-E-Ishq, Auzaar, Saajan Chale Sasural, Pardesi Babu Such.He also sang in movies like Gopi Kishen & Ahnken.
Arun Bakshi was last seen in a 2022 movie Anse – The End.
6. Mahesh Anand
Mahesh Anand rose to fame with his lead role in the 1988 hit Amitabh Bachchan. Shahenshah seen in movies like Jurm, Thanedaar, Akayla, Vishwatma, Waqt Hamaara Hai, Coolie No. 1.
He was last seen in a 2019 movie Langella Raja Starring Govinda.
Mahesh Anand was found dead in his Mumbai home in 2019. He was 57 years old.
7. Mahavir Shah
A fairly popular face in 90s movies, Mahavir Shah often played negative roles as a lawyer, cop, or office assistant.
Known for movies such as Gal Ho To Aisa, Shola Aul Shabnam, Tyrangar, Ahnken, Coolie No.1, Judwar, Jesus Boss, Badshah & Kyunki Main Joos Nahi Volta Above all.
Mahavir Shah was on vacation in the United States for two months when he died in a car accident in Chicago, Illinois in 2000.
8. Guruvachan Singh
Gurubhachan, who often plays henchmen in films, is best known for playing Captain Zorro in the Anil Kapoor and Sridevi starrers Mr. India.
His most popular films include Beta, Ajoba, Dilwale, Criminal & english bab desi mem Above all. In addition to acting in films, Singh is also known for being a stunt double for Dharmendra.
He has recently been seen in films such as Yamura Pagura Deewana 2 & Jota Kahin Ka.
9. Anand Balaji
Anand Balraj is known for movies like Ram Rakan, Soudagar, Kal Nayak & Pardes Above all.
In 2012, he directed the film Dar Mine Kuch Carla Hai Starring Pakistani actress Veena Malik and Bollywood star Jackie Shroff.
10. Bob Christ
Australian-born Greek and German Indian actor Bob Christo has appeared in films such as: Kurbani, Abdullah, Kaalia, Disco Dancer, Tufan, Jadugah & Ahnken.
His most popular role remains Mr. India & Gumlaawhere he played the lead antagonist.
In 2011, Bob died at the age of 72-72 from a ruptured left ventricular valve.
