Drum roll please. The CFDA has unveiled its American Collection calendar ahead of New York Fashion Week, and there’s a lot to discuss. With Rodarte making his long-awaited return on Friday, February 10, and CFDA Chairman Thom Browne deciding to bring the show back to New York City, here’s what you need to know.
The tentative schedule includes a staggering 75 runway shows and presentations. Returning brands and calendar staples include Altuzarra, Anna Sui, AREA, Batsheva, Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Coach, Corina Strada, Dion Lee, Ekhaus Latta, Elena Velez, Gabriela Hearst, Jason Wu Collection, KHAITE and La Quan. Smith, etc. , LoveShackFancy, Michael Kors, Palomo Spain, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Puppets & Puppets, Sergio Hudson, Simkhai, Sukeina, Tory Burch, Ulla Johnson, Who Decides War, Willy Chavarria and more. Additionally, some brands launch their collections on activation or reservation dates. Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford are not currently on the calendar.
New additions to the schedule include Heron Preston, Coltson, Kukururi Shaheen, Ayama Studios, Karmeyer, Kate Burton, Nayeon and Jimo.
