You may think you’ve seen a decent movie or TV series on Netflix.
However, there may still be many movies and TV series that you didn’t know were out there.
You have plenty of time, and there are a lot of things you won’t immediately see on your home screen unless you spend hours scrolling through your entire library.
The titles that appear immediately are based on what you have previously watched or added to your list. However, if you want to stream something from genres not available on the main page, you can easily find what you’re looking for.
In fact, it turns out that there are thousands of codes that make searching on the platform much easier.
These codes are associated with fairly specific genres, from “romantic foreign movies” to “B-horror movies,” and are grouped together in one place for you to scroll through.
To access each genre’s web page, simply enter the following address followed by the 4-digit code into your web browser: http://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/.
Please note that this only works on the website and is not available on the phone, NOW Box, or Amazon Firestick.
The kind folks at ogres-crypt have put together a comprehensive list of genres, but you can also find a wider selection below (and a full list of all removed this month can be found here).
