A major star in the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industry, 38-year-old actress Nayanthara will make her Hindi debut with the release of her latest Tamil horror thriller Connect, produced on her label Rowdy Pictures.
She will follow it up with her first full-fledged Hindi project, Shah Rukh Khan star Jawan. This shift[in industry dynamics]has given everyone confidence. Connect, directed by Ashwin Saravanan of “Maya” and “Game Over” fame, has the right elements to captivate Hindi audiences, she said. ‘Connect’ is not about her Nadu region or family in Tamil. The actor added that it’s not state-specific and there shouldn’t be a language barrier in the film.
The film is set during lockdown in India and follows a single mother (Nayantara) who begins to notice eerie changes in her daughter’s behavior. The Tamil version was released on his 22nd December and the Hindi version was released on Thursday.
