Michelin-starred celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will open his third Ramsay’s Kitchen restaurant in downtown Naperville this spring.
The city has issued a building permit for Ramsay’s Kitchen at 39 W. Jefferson Ave. This is the former location of Ted’s Montana Grill, and the company has started advertising hiring key personnel.
There are only two other Ramsay’s Kitchen locations (one in Las Vegas and one in Boston), both of which feature signature entrees such as pan-fried scallops, beef wellington, and crispy skin salmon.
Renovations to the new locations are being handled by 41 North Contractors of Lisle and include the Chiubo Mexican Restaurant in downtown Water Street, the Cress Creek Country Club on Ogden Avenue, and the Market Meadows Shopping Center on Naper Boulevard, all located in Naperville, Chicago. of Gordon Ramsay Berger.
Gordon Ramsay’s North American website says the company is looking to hire an executive chef and general manager for its new Jefferson Avenue restaurant in Naperville.
Both positions have a salary range of $95,000 to $110,000 and require at least three years of experience.
The British chef runs 21 restaurants in the US, including five Hell’s Kitchen facilities named after the reality show he created.
Gordon Ramsay North America did not respond to a request for comment in time for publication.
The property was listed for lease as a turnkey restaurant with 146 indoor seating in its current configuration and an additional 20 outdoor seating on the patio.
Surface parking is available at the rear of the space and a garage is half a block away.
Founded by media mogul Ted Turner, Atlanta-based Ted’s Montana Grill debuted at 39 West Jefferson in April 2007 and closed during the pandemic.
Until July 2004, the property was home to Oswald’s Pharmacy, which moved from downtown Naperville to its current location at 88 West Gartner Road in Naperville Plaza.
