TikTok fans can now create viral videos with the soundtrack of the Arab world’s biggest pop stars.
As part of a new licensing deal between the social media platform and major label Rotana Music Group, TikTok users will be able to access Saudi-owned music featuring hits by regional superstars such as Elissa, Amir Diab, Naiwah Karam and Mohammed Abdo. Salem Al Hendi, chief executive of Rotana Music Group, said the move would reveal to the world the vibrant music scene in the Middle East and North Africa.
