Moody City gives green light to build major entertainment center near I-20
A new facility for family entertainment is set to open in Moody in the near future. Build a new entertainment center near the Interstate 20 interchange. Moody’s City Council decided on January 9 to build a new entertainment center near the Interstate 20 interchange in partnership with Signature Developments, LLC and Starz events, LLC, according to a news release.
The facility will be approximately 60,000 square feet in size and will be built on a 6.7-acre site visible from the interstate.
The new entertainment center offers a bowling alley, trampoline park, soft play recreational facilities for toddlers, snack bars and other attractions.
“We are excited to open a state-of-the-art entertainment center that is customized to the interests of local residents. Moody is a rapidly growing community with incredible potential and this project We think it’s a perfect fit, and we’re working with the City of Moody, the Chamber of Commerce and the County Commission on this project,” said Shafiq Samji, developer and operator of the project.
The deal allows the development to open the facility for two years.
Samji says he hopes to open the facility before Thanksgiving 2024.
