The last time MJF held a live mic at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, he verbally caught “former WWE guy” Tony Khan in the AEW locker room and the audience’s “uneducated Mark.” On Wednesday, the AEW World Champion returned to the “crime scene”, but this time he targeted, by his own account, “D-list celebrities” in attendance.
MJF initially blamed Konosuke Takeshita before turning his attention to comedian Ken Jeong.
“You may remember Ken Jeong as Mr. Chow in The Hangover.” MJF said while speaking to the comedian“What was that, Ken, like it was 20 years ago? But that’s okay. You can still watch your hit comedy series on ABC, Dr. Ken. can not. [laughs].”
MJF then pursued lifelong wrestling fan, podcast host, and aspiring wrestling promoter Freddie Prinze Jr.
“If you ask me to cancel, Freddie Prinze Jr. is at home!” MJF continued. “You may remember Freddy from She’s All That. I was born in 1996 so I don’t remember. Unlike most of you, I’m not a dinosaur. What I remember about Freddy is that he was a supporting character. The only time I played a CGI talking dog [in Scooby-Doo]To me, Freddie, you’re just a Scooby-Dooby douchebag.”
Just as MJF continued to roast celebrities, Bryan Danielson charged into the ring for his scheduled match with Takeshita, forcing the champion to make a hasty withdrawal.
Shortly thereafter, MJF — who seems proud of his promotion — murmured Below: “F–k, I’m really fine.”
