Movie buff Jordan Denanti said, “There’s a movie theater as an option, so I look forward to that when it’s raining outside.
Waiting for the perfect time to watch Avatar.
“I wanted to see it last week, but I was a little worried about the three hours, but with today’s weather, I figured there was a better way than staying indoors.
Colony Cinema general manager Jerry Kane said, “This year has been going pretty smoothly, like the recent storm.
Kane told KSBY that the previous storm caused a 20% increase, but it also depends on the movies showing that week.
“People will come here with no power. People are stuck in their homes in the pouring rain. And they will come here,” Kane explained.
Down the street, Andy’s Awesome Arcade, which opened six weeks ago, is welcoming increased business.
“The slowest weekend ever was the first weekend after that, and then more and more people came. Mostly young families,” Douglas Doll said.
