Kodak Black made its runway debut during Paris Fashion Week, previewing its first-ever fashion collaboration with menswear designer Doni Nahmias.
The show took place on Sunday (January 22nd) and Kodak unveiled a 10-piece ensemble inspired by retro costumes, music and the rapper’s own personal lyrics. While he walked through the show, the Florida native wore a purple faux fur coat with lyrics from his personal notebook and performed his song “Super Gremlins.”
Kodak also wore a purple suit with rhinestone hearts on the lapel, with the words “love” and “war” sewn into the sleeves. Together with Namias, who is also a fashion designer, she helped co-create the menswear line and runway presentation.
The line is part of Namias’ Fall/Winter 2023 collection, dubbed “California Poetry” and inspired by “90s California hip-pop culture.”
Cutthroat Bill also had his 1-year-old daughter, Yuri Capri, with him while enjoying the weekend in Paris. He shared a photo on Instagram of himself posing with his daughter while attending Kenzo Takada’s show.
“I was sitting in Paris and like, wow, I really finished the project Forreal,” Kodak wrote. I went home and made my blessed baby Yuri.She was born (1-21-22).”
He continued: “After complications throughout the labor process, she ends up baking bread for Lil just after entering this world the next day!!! Anyway ( 1- 22-23 ) My Baby Turnt 1 in Paris & It Feels Delightful.”
Earlier this month, Kodak and NBA YoungBoy filled the hatchet with FaceTime calls.
The Black and Never Broke Again boss has a tumultuous past that dates back to 2017. Most recently, Yak accused YB’s manager of stealing his tour ideas last summer, He went so far as to deny his entire fan base.
Kodak Black also revealed plans to drop the project in the next month during an Instagram Live with Yungeen Ace. When Ace asked what he was doing in the video, the “ZEZE” rapper said, “Just chilling Fina Drop releasing this album next month.”
The Florida rapper dropped the names of several artists he’s collaborated with on projects, and both he and Ace agreed they needed to find the latest R&B sensation akin to Mariah Carey.
Kodak’s last album back to all, Released in February 2022, it first appeared in second place. billboard 200 on the charts, garnering 60,000 albums worth of units in its first week.
