Well, today is the day everyone has been waiting for.
After months of anticipation, Prince Harry’s memoir sparehit bookstores around the world this morning.
Of course, we’ve known about the book’s most scandalous claims for quite some time, thanks to pre-release leaks.
And many of them have to do with Harry’s strained relationship with his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton.
The most-publicized excerpt includes Harry’s claim that William attacked him after a tense discussion about Meghan Markle in 2019.
But that’s certainly not the only part of the book where Will and Kate are portrayed in a less than flattering light.
Harry goes into detail about the strained relationship between Kate and Meghan, and in most of these accounts, Kate looks like a bully.
Unsurprisingly, the new Princess of Wales is reportedly less than thrilled with the way she’s been portrayed in Harry’s book.
In fact, journalist Tom Bauer Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the Windsor Warsays his book title may become more relevant than ever as Kate plans her next move.
According to Bower, Kate is “upset and hurt” by the treatment she received in her brother-in-law’s literary debut.
Bauer seems similarly outraged, describing Kate’s portrayal as “grotesque ditch” and “shameful”.
In an interview with Page Six, Bower pointed out that there are rumors that Meghan has also been revealed.
These reports led him to conclude, “This is how they make money for a while.”
Of course, there may not be much more to say about Kate and Meghan’s relationship.
Harry has already spilled the tea in a big way, writing at length about incidents such as Kate and Meghan spitting on bridesmaids’ dresses leading up to Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
“Meg asked if Kate knew what was going on right now. With her father,” Harry wrote.
“Kate said she knew better, but the dress… and the wedding is just four days away!”
“Yes Kate, I know….” Meghan replied.
Harry also recalled an incident where Kate seemed sick of the idea of letting Meghan borrow lip gloss.
“Kate went into her purse in amazement and reluctantly took out a small tube,” Harry wrote.
“Meg squeezed a small amount onto her finger and applied it to her lips. Kate frowned.
Add Harry’s explanation that William backed away in terror when Meghan hugged him for the first time, and it’s clear that the Prince and Princess of Wales aren’t big fans of the Duchess of Sussex.
It may be a while before Will and Kate make their next move.
But there is no doubt that Harry is at the forefront of their minds these days.
