Actor Kartik Aaryan is set to star in his next entertainer, Shehzada. A trailer for the film was released on Thursday, which includes a scene of Kartik slapping his veteran actor, Paresh Rawal. Kartik revealed he was worried about the slap scene when he talked about it at the trailer’s launch event. Shezada is directed by Rohit Dhawan. This is the official Hindi remake of his 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramloo starring Allu Arjun. Shehzada is set to release in theaters on February 10, 2023. Besides Kartik and Paresh Rawal, it also stars Kriti Sanon, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar.
Regarding the slap scene during the event, Kartik reportedly told ETimes: In a certain way that makes you believe I slapped him. Lekin galti se kabhi bhi lag sakta hai. But between co-stars there needs to be that trust. Such is the king of comics… timing. “
Kartik went on to share what Paresh Rawal told him before shooting the scene. Kheench ke maarna. Film ke mood mein jaana (Don’t worry, hit me hard and get into the movie zone). Paresh Rawal plays the role of Kartik’s onscreen father in the film increase.
The Shehzada trailer opens with Kartik talking about taking action instead of indulging in family discussions. He beats the bad guys on his basketball court, in the harbor, near the factory, and many other places. In contrast to his personality, Kartik’s another not-so-macho side of him comes out next. In one scene, when his “baba (father)”, Paresh Rawal, asks him whether he wants to be a lawyer or a bouncer, Kartik replies “dono (both)” to him. Once Kartik finds his real father Randeep, who is rich and successful, all Kartik wants to do is live his “Shehzada” (prince) life.
Shehzada is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Allu Arvind, S Radha Krishna and Aman Gill. Kartik was last seen in Freddy released on OTT.
