Kareena Kapoor reacts to #boycottBollywood
For those uninformed, the #Boycott Bollywood trend began ahead of the release of several films last year including Lal Singh Chadda, Liger, Brahmastra and Raksha Bandhan. This trend has affected the box office numbers of some films. Speaking about this, Karina said, “I totally disagree. If that happened, how would we entertain and how would you bring joy and happiness into your life? I think you need, which movies and movies are promising and which movies we’ve always done and which movies we’ve always done.
#BoycottBollywood inspired several movies
During the release of Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, Twitter users began trending the hashtag #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha, asking people not to watch the film. Even films such as Liger, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, and Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor, were called upon by many to be boycotted. However, Brahmastra did quite well at the box office, making him one of the highest-grossing films of 2022. Well, this trend started again prior to the release of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone patterns.
