The amphibious clogs (yellow, blue and classic slimy green) that hit the runway for his label JW Anderson at Milan Fashion Week were created in collaboration with British rain boot maker Wellipets. A young Prince William. In 1987, a British newspaper published a photo of Harry snuggling up to the bend of Princess Diana’s elbow, with frog-like legs dangling underneath.
For Anderson, cultural references are “homely” and reassuring and stem from “childhood memories,” he said in a news release.

Instead of Wellipets’ typical tall boot shape, originally designed for kids, JW Anderson’s short slip-on version resembles a mule.
It was a whimsical moment for the label’s new collection, which also included a runway look that was nothing more than a model adorned with a tomato-themed painted tattoo carrying a white pillow.

Anderson’s surrealist flares were also incorporated into the front row of the Milan show. The star-studded audience was filled with Italy’s hottest celebrities. Among them are White Lotus star Sabrina and his Impacciatore in a kitsch sunset-print jumpsuit from the label’s latest collection, as well as Bones and All director Luca Guadagnino. I was.
