June Shannon has been through a lot over the years as a reality TV star.
Granted, many, if not most, of her problems are of her own making, but she deserves credit for turning her life around!
As you know, 2022 was a tough year for June.
Her daughters, Alana and Lauryn, have cut off contact with her amid escalating reports of self-destructive behavior.
As far as we know, Alana and Lauryn are still starting their own reality shows (without Mama June), but other than that, it seems like their relationship within the Shannon family has improved significantly.
June updated her fans with a lengthy TikTok post on New Year’s Eve. She is tremendously optimistic and she seems to be looking forward to 2023!
Shannon has been engaging in quite a bit of self-reflection in recent months and was happy to report to her followers that she’s experienced some real self-improvement.
(A lot of people thought it was June’s way of saying she’s staying sober. She’s not correcting those who blessed her, so hopefully they’re right.)
June announced at the beginning of the video that she intended to “recap” 2022.
For starters, June got married in 2022, but didn’t tell her daughters until after the fact.
However, although the marriage got off to a rocky start, June and her new man still seem to be doing well.
“I’ve come to understand who I am mentally and emotionally, which has helped my relationship with my daughters,” June first reported. Ashley’s Reality Roundup.
“I’m in Georgia celebrating Pumpkin’s birthday because I’m not in Georgia next week for her actual birthday. So I love it and we try to do it once a week.
After assuring fans that her relationship with her daughters was relatively solid, June opened up about her marriage.
“I actually went and got married this year. It’s something I thought I’d never have the chance to do, but I found the man of my dreams, someone I thought I’d never find either.” .
“Someone to love, someone to appreciate, someone to care about, someone to share secrets with, someone to share life with in general.”
Yes, Shannon can barely contain her glee when talking about Justin Stroud.
And why should she?
This is a woman who has dated some real losers in the past, but seems confident this time it worked out.
Of course, I’m not quite sure how her daughters feel about the man.
But given the fact that they welcomed June into their lives, they should at least be cautious and optimistic.
We hope 2023 lives up to the high expectations of June!
