According to a new report from the British tabloid SunJosiah and Lauren rented a house in Arkansas for $1,450.
A three-bedroom house in the town of Rogers, Arkansas has an estimated value of $347,000.
A lot has been said out of the fact that Josiah and Lauren are renting a new home rather than buying one.
Many take this as a sign that the Duggars aren’t as wealthy as they used to be.
Interestingly, however, the couple purchased land in the past year.
In November 2022, Jim Bob deeds 5.92 acres of vacant land from family property to Josiah and Lauren.
Josiah and Lauren are planning to build a house on what used to be their parents’ land.
(They would be very close to Jim Bob and Michelle’s “big house,” but the property technically belongs to Josiah now.)
Therefore, the rental is likely only a temporary home as the couple embark on a large construction project.
These young married people are therefore likely to have a more solid financial base than they appear to be.
Of course, the last few months have been so secretive that it’s almost impossible to draw any firm conclusions about the lives of Josiah and Lauren.
