Jedidiah Duggar and Katey Nakatsu have exciting news.
The star, who announced in mid-December that she was expecting her second baby, announced whether this baby will be a boy or a girl.
And they did so in a unique way.
Late last week, Count On’s alum brother, James Duggar, lit a bonfire for many of his loved ones…and another member of the (infamous) family in a pink truck. Drove a lot… In the process, the couple’s second child is a girl.
Hurray, isn’t it!?
Pink confetti and fireworks color the night sky.
“We asked our brother James to set the public. Boy was he shocked (and amused!) with what he came up with.
The couple, who got married in 2021, were thrilled to learn they were expecting a daughter.
“That was one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen,” Jedidiah exclaimed in the video.
“We were literally expecting something like a powder [be thrown onto] The fire was supposed to turn pink or blue. [Instead] This car flies out of nowhere and jumps into the water over this ramp they made. ”
Duggar adds: [Katey]! ”
In an unexpected move, the couple also name of their impending child.
“We thought [son] Truett was going to be a girl, but it wasn’t, so the name we chose was…” the father-to-be told his family in the same video.
Nakatsu then told the group that he planned to call his daughter. Nora Kate because:
“Nora means light and Kate means pure.”
The husband and wife got married in April 2021 and welcomed their first child just seven months ago.
In May 2022, their son Truette Oliver “True” was born.
“For a long time I prayed for my future spouse without knowing who my future spouse would be. You have answered my prayers,” Jed wrote on Instagram after exchanging vows.
“We’ve been quietly in a relationship for the past year. Every moment we’ve had together has been amazing!”
On Friday, Jed wrapped up his next bundle of joy.
“We are so grateful for little Nora Kate that her life is [God’s] Grace to us, and as her name means pure light to the world, we use her life to make an impact…for your Lord.
“We are so grateful for this little one you blessed us with.”
