Janelle Brown hasn’t looked back.
But the Sister Wives star says she feels she has to look forward sometimes.
On Sunday night, the mother of six children opened up about her decision to separate from her spiritual spouse, Kody, speaking with host Sukanya Krishnan in Part 3 of her Sister Wives: One on One special. .
Back in Part 1, Janelle admitted for the first time that she was separating from Kodi.
“We’ve been apart for a few months…and I’m happy,” Janelle stressed the air. “I’m really happy.”
She added that there is no love between her former partners these days.
“It’s a duty, it’s a commitment, and it’s faith that tells you to work it out and stick it out,” Janelle continued of the only thing that even brought the pair together in the end.
“If we were really sitting down, I think we would look at each other and say, ‘Really?'”

“So I always argue with myself because I know I’m happy.
“I don’t want him to come back, but my faith requires us to be married forever.
If a man treats you poorly, feels happy without him, or your beliefs make you think you need to be with him… perhaps you need to reconsider those beliefs.

When asked “Is the door still open?” Janelle replied:
“It must be, but I’m not interested in anyone going through that door.”
Earlier, Janelle toasted the new year and said she’s looking forward to what 2023 will bring without Kodi.
Elsewhere in the episode, Kody shared her hopes for the future with Janelle.
“I’d like to fix it, yes. But it’s a whole new negotiation,” he told the host.
“Hopefully we can find a happy and beautiful place together with Janelle where we can reconcile with all our children. Here is hope.”
However, Cody also confessed that he might be the one woman from now on.
“I’m on the verge of even getting rid of polygamy, and it’s been part of my identity for 30 years.
“The funny thing about me now is that I was always positive. I was always thinking about the future. but that’s great.
“Lately, I’ve been thinking, well, today is good, but I also really miss the past.”
