Doodhpathri in Jammu and Kashmir in the Budgam district has emerged as one of the favorite filming locations of the Bollywood industry.
An album was recently shot at the venue.
From Rishi Kapoor’s Bobby in Gulmarg to Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Baijan in Pahalgam, over the years Bollywood has chosen Kashmir as the beloved location to shoot its movies.
However, during the social unrest of the 1990s, the filmmakers and crew refused to shoot in the Valley.
Speaking about the project, Abbas Karole, actor for the Album shot in Doodhpathri, told ANI that he had long dreamed of filming the song in Kashmir and is delighted to finally have the opportunity.
“We preferred Kashmir because some people think it is unsafe, but we did our best to promote Kashmir’s picturesque destination and safe environment,” Carroll said. He added that the actress is only from Kashmir.
“We shot at multiple locations including Dal Lake, Nishat Park, Drang Waterfall, local village locations and other locations,” he continued.
The album’s director, Vikran Mehta, is from Jammu. He said Dodd Patri remained a major destination for the album, he reports ANI.
