LOUIVILLE, Kentucky — The Louisville chapter of Rucksack’s Blessing will host a celebrity chef dinner on March 11th.
Dinner is a fundraiser to provide meals to local elementary school students on weekends. A spokesperson for Blessings in a Backpack said the celebrity chef fundraiser will include Food Network stars Darnell “SuperChef” Ferguson and Damaris Phillips’ “world-class cuisine,” plus winner of Best Baker in America. It states that Jackie Joseph is included.
The event takes place in Olmsted from 6-10pm.
Discounted tickets for this event are now on sale for $150 per person and $1,500 for a table of 10. Ticket prices will increase after January 9, officials said. Click here to purchase tickets.
Kim Holsclaw, managing director of the Louisville chapter of Blessings in a Backpack, said:
During the event, guests will have the opportunity to chat with the chefs throughout the night, officials said. Attendees can also participate in live and silent auctions such as the ‘Bourbon Pull’ and ‘Wheel of Chance’.
A spokesperson for Blessings in a Backpack said the money raised during the event “will be used to provide nutritious food for school-aged children in Louisville.”
“I am passionate about using my skills to help local children and this is naturally one of my favorite events of the year,” said Ferguson. “We hope that people in our community will join us for great food and fun to help the local students who need it most.”
