When I hear Rainie Wilson Talking about her latest hit, “Heart Like a Track,” it’s easy to think she’s more of a motivational speaker or psychologist than a reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year.
“This is a song about finding freedom and strength,” she told ABC Audio. “You know, I wrote this song for everyone who’s been through heartbreak, tough times and bad luck. You name it, we’ve all been there.”
“It’s a little bit about where you’ve been,” she adds. I want them to feel victorious.”
Laney’s uplifting philosophy extends to all of her music.
“My goal is to put out only music that makes people feel something,” explains the Louisiana native. “And so far, I feel like a lot of people are hooked. [“Heart Like a Truck”] I feel something from it. ”
Rainey offers another thought to inspire listeners. Dig deeper and pull up the boot straps. After all, what we experience makes us who we are and gives us stories to tell. So don’t worry. ”
“Heart Like a Track” is Rainey’s third top 10 hit, and a potential third number one. She also has another four-wheeled song of hers in the top 15. Hardy.
